I have a house I have just purchased that has a newly finished basement with bedroom and bathroom. It has a glass block window currently in the bedroom, and I need to replace this with an egress window.

I have 3 windows on the west side of the house and I hate them. The heat in the summer that penetrates thru the glass is unbearable. I want the heat and the glare resolved from these energy stealing windows. Two side by side are 84x47 and one 45x58. What will solve the problem, and how much will it cost.
